A’Sharqiyah Sands Water Supply Scheme, Oman

Asharkiyah region lies some 100 km south of Muscat. The objective of the Asharkiyah sands water supply scheme is to provide potable water supply to the main towns and villages. The water supply scheme, which shall be designed to operate and serve the consumers for 30 years in the future, (between 2003 and 2032) will be executed in two phases:
Phase 1
Drilling a sufficient number of productions wells.
Construction of necessary pumping station, reservoirs, and auxiliary buildings.
Construction of a transmission pipeline with a total length of 103 km
Construction of tanker points within the mentioned towns and their pipe connection to the transmission pipeline
Phase 2
Construction of water distribution networks at the towns
