Established in 1957 in Cairo to serve the national and regional developments in the Middle East and Africa

AAW Holding was established in 2005 to manage, and steer AAW companies, assets, and investments across Middle East and Africa.

AAW Holding is operating a portfolio of companies in two major fields; Engineering & Project Development.

AAW Consulting Engineers was established in 1957 in Cairo, Egypt, to serve the national developments in Egypt, the Middle East, and African countries. AAW Consultancies encompasses:

- AAW Consulting Engineers, UAE
- AAW & Partners LLC, Oman
- AAW Ingenieurs Conseils, Morocco

AAW team encompasses over 1000 professionals from more than 30 nationalities and provides integrated services and solutions covering a wide range of activities to build an integrated modern city.

AAW Utilities was established in 2008 as a developer, investor, co-owner and operator of infrastructure developments supported by an experienced team combining proved competences in financial, legal, and technical aspects; to empower developments of different project finance models under Public Private Partnerships Contracts.

1957

1957 AAW was founded by DR. Ahmed Abdel-Warith as a sole-practitioner consulting office, the first in the Middle East to specialize in water and wastewater.

1960

AAW’s first international operations began with the first groups of projects in Syria.

1963

North Africa Expansion. AAW’s international operations in North Africa began with its first project in Algeria.

1965

The 100 Days Project, Egypt. AAW prepared the first wastewater masterplan for Greater Cairo, designed and supervised the famous flagship project to save Cairo and Giza from wastewater flooding in 100 Days.
