AAW was selected by Abu Dhabi Municipality to provide consultancy services for this prestigious assignment, with an objective to carry out complete survey and assessment of the existing conditions of all road pavements, road furniture, and bridges/tunnels structures within Abu Dhabi Island to identify rehabilitation and maintenance need, establish future maintenance programs, create GIS database & maps for existing deficiencies and rehabilitation works. The project also includes conducting traffic studies and designing relief solutions for congested roads and parking areas. The project yielded design and construction of 73 Work Orders for rehabilitation of existing roads, parking and bridges and construction of new works, as well as study, design and handing over of 55 Work Orders to be constructed at the next stage.
