Power Supply for New Aswan City, Egypt

The New Aswan city, is located on the opposite side of old Aswan City, across the River Nile. It is considered to be one of the first generation of the new tourism cities in Upper Egypt to be developed in four phases. The total area of the new city is 34 km2 and the first phase is built over an area of about 13.3 km2.

The project includes design of high, medium and low voltage networks and road lighting system for the four phases of the project including;
New main transformer substation 66/22 kV,  4 x 25 MVA capacity is established to cover the expected loads of the first phase till the horizon year.
130 km of 18/30 kV cables.
98 distribution transformer for sub-stations 22/4 kV.
395 km of low voltage and road lighting cables.
6000 road lighting poles.
