Unayzah Forest National Park, KSA

One of the most important forests made by human hands in KSA.  With joint cooperation between education and agriculture directorate, nearly 3,000 students planted the park with more than 7,000 trees. Barriers were placed around the park and entry was denied until the passage of 9 years, which witnessed great interest in agriculture in the park. The project goal is to preserve, develop, and sustain Unizah Park with a toal area of 10 million m2, and increase the areas of afforestation and vegetation cover, develop the park to be an attractive destination for tourists, add economic and social value to the Al Qassim region, and benefit from the renewable water reaching the park in afforestation operations.

AAW Responsibilities

AAW scope includes Studies, preliminary designs and final designs & BoQs:

  • Feasibility study and research to determine the natural characteristics, environmental, and technical aspects of the project site, including management, marketing, and operation & maintenance.
  • Develop the park identity and concept in line with the regional culture within a creative framework that represents an added value to national parks at the level of Saudi Arabia and the region.
  • Design the park per the natural and environmental determinants of the site and ensure its preservation, and promote the movement of cars and pedestrians, plant and tree planting sites, maintain cleanliness, garbage collection control at acceptable operating costs, while considering recycling.
